Description:
Lovely Retro Era gold filled locket on a gold tone metal rope chain hallmarked for the Pitman & Keeler Company. This vintage locket was part of their "American Queen" line of products. It is in a rectangular shape that features an etched heart and floral design with a monogram on the front. The etched heart shape is in the front center and it holds the monogram with the initials EFC. The heart has some scalloped decorative edges all around it. Above and below this are etched flowers and leaves that curl around the central heart shape. The flowers are a pink gold while the rest of this locket is yellow gold. The background has a satin finish. The back is plain with no design. There are two oval shape photo wells inside complete with frames, plastic covers and some 1940s photos: one of a dark haired young man and other of a woman. The locket closes securely with a snap.
The bale is a plain oval loop. The 12K gold filled locket hangs on an 18” long gold tone rope chain with a spring ring clasp. The clasp opens and closes securely.
The locket opens from the left and has the hinge on the right.
This retro locket has a Pitman & Keeler stamp on the inner well and one of the frames inside has the P&K engraved on it as well.
NOTE: The hallmark inside and on one of the photo frames is for the Pitman & Keeler Jewelry Company. White the company began as McRae & Keeler Company in 1883, in 1907, McRae & Keeler changed their name to Pitman & Keeler. They manufactured this line that included their sweetheart expandable bracelets as their "American Queen" items. They were very popular during WWII and into the later 1940s.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
