Antique Art Nouveau Gold Filled Locket Necklace: Floral Photo Pendant

Description:
An antique Art Nouveau gold filled round locket that features a chased design on the front and a plain back. The locket was made by the Carter, Qvarnstrom & Remington Company - see NOTE below about this company. The front has a raised central S curved ribbon design that flows diagonally from top to bottom. At the top left is a graceful flower with a bloom that bends its head downward on a textured background. At the bottom front a curling stem that grows from the flower appears to swirl around the locket. The locket is circa 1910-1920. The locket closes securely with a snap.
The locket would hold two photos - one on each side. There is one of the original frames still intact.
NOTE: The locket is marked C & QR in one well frame which is the hallmark for Carter, Qvarnstrom & Remington, a jewelry company in business in Attleboro, Massachusetts from 1899-1930. At that time, Attleboro was referred to as "The Jewelry Capital of the World".
The vintage locket hangs from a new 14K gold filled Rolo chain. The bale is a plain round loop. The spring ring clasp opens and closes securely.

Condition:
The front of the gold filled locket necklace is in nice antique condition with minor wear and markings commensurate with vintage age. The back is in fair to nice antique condition as there are some small indentations and scratching as it is plain with no design. See photos for detail.

Inside the locket is the hallmark CQ&R inside a triangle on one of the inner wells

Care instructions
While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.

The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
Do you accept returns on items that have been altered?
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
What is your policy for multiple returns in a short period of time?
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
