A lovely antique round gold filled locket necklace with a red and clear paste (glass) gem design on the front and a plain back. The locket hangs on a vintage 23" long gold tone metal (most likely jeweler’s brass) chain.
This locket necklace is what we call a "Timeworn Treasure" as there is significant wear from the past, but still has charm enough for the present.
The front of this round antique locket features a central red paste (glass) gemstone and 8 clear paste gems all around it. The paste gems are set inside etched starburst shapes.
There are two photo wells inside this Timeworn Treasure with one having a frame intact.
The vintage locket necklace is circa early 1900s in age.
The vintage cable link chain is vintage and has a spring ring clasp. The clasp opens and closes securely.

Locket: Approximately 1 1/4” diameter (not including the bail loop. With the bale loop it is 1 1/3" long)

Condition:
This gold filled locket is in fair antique condition with wear commensurate with age - early 1900s. There is pitting on the gold fill on the locket exterior, the front and back where the base metal is exposed. There is some light age appropriate patina on the brass chain - see photos for details. Price reflects conditions.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.

The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
Do you accept returns on items that have been altered?
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
What is your policy for multiple returns in a short period of time?
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
Can I purchase an item for a prop for photos, and then get a return/refund for it?
We offer customers vintage items from the past to be worn and enjoyed themselves. We cannot accept a new order when a prior item(s) has been used as a prop(s) and then returned for a refund. It will be cancelled and refunded.
