Description:
A Victorian wedding bracelet from the late 1800s (circa 1880s) that features an Etruscan* design with raised green gold leaves.
Lovely gold-filled bypass bracelet. The bracelet features a hinged double-wire design centered with a plaque adorned with green gold accents.
It is hinged in the back, and the ends overlap. This antique bracelet expands at the hinge to be worn and then closes onto the wrist.
*Etruscan revival jewelry was inspired by archaeological digs in Italy in the second half of the 19th century. This type of jewelry was especially popular during a revival in the Etruscan style that took place in the 1860s‑1870s.
At the time, pairs of wedding bracelets like this one may have been given to a bride at the time of her engagement. The one bracelet would be worn until the day of the wedding. After the marriage, the bride would wear the second bracelet. One of the bracelets was sometimes passed down to a daughter or daughters.
Measurements:
This unique vintage wedding bracelet measures 2 1/4" x 2" closed. When opened, it will fit up to an approximate 6-6.5" wrist - it is for a smaller/medium sized wrist. Mine is 6 3/4'' (see last photo) and the bracelet does expand to fit, but it's snug.

Condition:
The antique bracelet is in nice antique condition for being over 100 years old. Some light use marks, solder, tarnish, and wear commensurate with antique age - see photos for detail. Hinge works well.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.

The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
Do you accept returns on items that have been altered?
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
What is your policy for multiple returns in a short period of time?
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
Can I purchase an item for a prop for photos, and then get a return/refund for it?
We offer customers vintage items from the past to be worn and enjoyed themselves. We cannot accept a new order when a prior item(s) has been used as a prop(s) and then returned for a refund. It will be cancelled and refunded.
