Lovely round vintage La Mode 12K gold filled locket on a 14K gold filled chain. The locket that has a unique scalloped edge. This Retro Era (circa 1940s) locket front features a subtle pink flower and etched designs around it. The back has an engine turned swirled design that covers the complete back side. While this vintage locket is round, the edges have a scalloped shape. The bale is a plain round loop. The new rope chain is 18" long.
NOTE:
This gold filled locket is a La Mode piece. La Mode was a trademark used by Ripley and Gowan of Attleboro, Mass. The company’s history dates back to the 1880s. Ripley and Gowan filed for use of “La Mode” as a trademark in 1924. The company used the trademark for both women’s and men’s jewelry.
There are 2 round compartments for photos inside this locket. These compartments have the original frames and newer plastics intact. The locket is circa early mid century.
The hinge for this vintage locket is on the bottom and it opens from the top. The locket closes securely.
The vintage locket hangs on a new 14K gold filled rope chain that has a spring ring clasp. The chain’s spring ring clasp opens and closes securely.
This locket is a classic - adorable and feminine and quite unique with its scalloped edges.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.

The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
Do you accept returns on items that have been altered?
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
What is your policy for multiple returns in a short period of time?
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
Can I purchase an item for a prop for photos, and then get a return/refund for it?
We offer customers vintage items from the past to be worn and enjoyed themselves. We cannot accept a new order when a prior item(s) has been used as a prop(s) and then returned for a refund. It will be cancelled and refunded.
