Authentic vintage, and absolutely adorable gold filled locket.
A classic round antique gold filled locket featuring a monogrammed front with the initials "ES” in decorative cursive script. The back side of this circa early 1900s locket is plain with no decoration and a matte finish.
This type of monogrammed item was very popular during the Edwardian era (circa 1900-1910).
This locket is hallmarked W&H on one of the inner wells. The locket closes securely. Both sides have the original photo frames and plastic covers.
We have attached the antique locket to a new 18'' long 14K gold filled chain. The locket can be purchased with or without the chain.
This hallmark is for the Wightman & Hough Company that was established in 1856 in Providence, Rhode Island. They manufactured gold-filled, rolled gold, and sterling silver jewelry. Each piece was hallmarked with a heart containing the initials “W&H”. They were known for lockets, medallions, and seals. They were in business through the Art Deco era.

Condition:
In very nice antique condition with some light wear commensurate with vintage age which is circa 1900. See photo and video for detail. The chain is new and in great condition. A lovely and classic vintage round gold filled locket!

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.

The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
Do you accept returns on items that have been altered?
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
What is your policy for multiple returns in a short period of time?
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
Can I purchase an item for a prop for photos, and then get a return/refund for it?
We offer customers vintage items from the past to be worn and enjoyed themselves. We cannot accept a new order when a prior item(s) has been used as a prop(s) and then returned for a refund. It will be cancelled and refunded.
