Description:
A sweet vintage 12K yellow gold-filled oval locket with etched bamboo shoots on a 14K yellow gold twisted link chain. This feminine and unique locket was made by the Walter E. Hayward Company that operated out of Attleboro, MA from approximately 1922 to 1950.
This locket features etched bamboo on a brushed finish on the front side. On the back, the locket is plain with no design and has a shiny finish. The locket closes securely.
Inside there is room for two small oval photos. Currently, both sides of the locket are empty.
The locket has a fanned bale with vertical lines on it. The pendant hangs from a vintage 18” long 14K yellow gold filled rope chain. Locket necklace is circa mid century.

In nice vintage condition. Some light use marks here and there commensurate with vintage (mid century) age - see photos for detail.

Locket is marked WEH on the inner frame and 1/20 12K GF on the bale.
Chain is marked 1/20 14K on the spring ring clasp.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.

The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
Do you accept returns on items that have been altered?
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
What is your policy for multiple returns in a short period of time?
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
Can I purchase an item for a prop for photos, and then get a return/refund for it?
We offer customers vintage items from the past to be worn and enjoyed themselves. We cannot accept a new order when a prior item(s) has been used as a prop(s) and then returned for a refund. It will be cancelled and refunded.
