A feminine and petite antique gold filled heart shaped locket necklace. The front has an etched floral design with a rhinestone. The back is plain with no design.
The interior of the locket has space for two heart shaped photos. The original frames are intact. The locket is hallmarked for Bliss Brothers of Attleboro, Massachusetts who manufactured jewelry beginning in the late 1800s.
The vintage locket hangs from a new 14K yellow gold filled chain that is 18'' in length. The antique locket can be purchased with or without the new gold filled chain.

Condition:
In nice vintage condition with some patina and light wear commensurate with age - circa early 1910s. Some light use marks/scratches here or there. Locket stays shut securely. See photos for details. Chain is new and in great condition.
Marked:
- The hallmark for the Bliss Brothers Company (active in Attleboro, Massachusetts, from 1896 to roughly 1950) is a small letter "B" and "CO" nested inside a larger capital letter "B" and is present on the inside of the locket.
- Chain is marked 1/20 14K MSCO on the spring ring clasp. Gold filled chain.
NOTE: The maker's mark on this locket is for Bliss Brothers Co. of Attleboro, Massachusetts. According to Kovels, the company opened in 1873 as Bliss Brothers & Everett. It was founded by Charles Edwin Bliss, Everett Bradford Bliss, and R.L.F. Everett. According to an 1883 history of the county, Bliss Brothers & Everett "made a general variety of ladies' and gents' gold-plated goods." The company became Bliss Brothers Co. sometime after 1887. Compacts, pill boxes, and other small items, including gold-filled and sterling jewelry, were made.

Care instructions
While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.

The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
Do you accept returns on items that have been altered?
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
What is your policy for multiple returns in a short period of time?
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
Can I purchase an item for a prop for photos, and then get a return/refund for it?
We offer customers vintage items from the past to be worn and enjoyed themselves. We cannot accept a new order when a prior item(s) has been used as a prop(s) and then returned for a refund. It will be cancelled and refunded.
