Description:
An antique round rose gold filled locket necklace with an etched design set with 8 “paste" stones on a vintage rose gold filled chain that is 18” long. This round locket is what we call a “Timeworn Treasure” as it has some wear from the past, but charm enough to be enjoyed in the present and future.
The front of this antique locket features alternating 4 clear colored and 4 dark green round paste stones set in a diagonal design across the front.
The back side of this locket has a monogram with the letter JBC in an old cursive font.
There are two photo wells inside. Both have the frame and the plastic covers intact. The locket is circa early 1900s. The locket opens nicely and closes securely.
The vintage rose 12K gold filled chain is hallmarked on the clasp.
"Paste" stones are a type of cut glass that was produced to imitate the look of expensive gems. The most commonly used material for paste was lead glass.
The chain is a vintage rose gold filled chain that has a spring ring clasp. The clasp opens and closes securely.

Condition:
This gold filled locket is in fair to nice antique condition with wear to the edges here and there where the base metal is exposed. It is circa early 1900s. Some of the paste (glass) gems have darkened with age - see photos for detail. Item’s price reflects conditions. The vintage chain has wear and patina commensurate with vintage age.
Markings:
Chain is marked 1/20 12K GF LUSTERN on the loop near the spring ring clasp.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.

The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
Do you accept returns on items that have been altered?
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
What is your policy for multiple returns in a short period of time?
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
Can I purchase an item for a prop for photos, and then get a return/refund for it?
We offer customers vintage items from the past to be worn and enjoyed themselves. We cannot accept a new order when a prior item(s) has been used as a prop(s) and then returned for a refund. It will be cancelled and refunded.
