Lovely antique gold plated locket on an 34” long (Opera length) 14K gold filled rope chain. This antique jewelry piece is round pendant watch case type of locket that features etched and chased designs on both sides. The sides are almost identical except for the cartouche at the bottom. On one side it has some etched flowers inside it and on the other side it is plain - most likely it was a spot to engrave initials.
Inside the locket are two round compartments could hold 2 photos or a small memento.
The top of this pocket watch like style locket has a large round bale loop at the top where the new 14K gold filled chain passes through.
The hinge for this vintage watch case locket is on the bottom, and it opens from the the top by pressing the button.
The antique locket hangs on a vintage 14K gold filled oval link chain that is hallmarked. The chain’s spring ring clasp opens and closes securely.
The locket opens as intended and closes securely.
The locket is circa late 1800s. This locket is a classic piece and makes a bold statement when worn.

Chain - length is 34”
Pendant: 2 1/2” long when including the large round bale loop, 1 1/2” diameter.
Markings:
Locket is marked on the inside with an indescernable hallmark with a star and a laurel, and a serial number.
Chain is marked 1/20 14K GF on the clasp.

Condition:
This round Victorian Era pocket watch case locket is in nice antique condition with wear commensurate with age - late 1800s. Upon close inspection, there are some tiny spots where the gold plate has worn to the base metal. The new 14K gold filled chain rope is in nice vintage condition.

The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
Do you accept returns on items that have been altered?
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
What is your policy for multiple returns in a short period of time?
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
Can I purchase an item for a prop for photos, and then get a return/refund for it?
We offer customers vintage items from the past to be worn and enjoyed themselves. We cannot accept a new order when a prior item(s) has been used as a prop(s) and then returned for a refund. It will be cancelled and refunded.
