An authentic vintage gold filled oval locket. This larger sized oval locket features swirling floral and leaf designs on the front, the back is plain with no design.
There are two photo wells inside, one has the original frame intact. The locket opens and closes securely.
The antique locket is attached to a new, 20'' long 14K gold filled rope chain. Locket can be purchased with or without the chain.
NOTE: The locket is marked C&QR in one well frame which is the hallmark for Carter, Qvarnstrom & Remington, a jewelry company in business in Attleboro, Massachusetts from 1899-1930. At that time, Attleboro was referred to as "The Jewelry Capital of the World".

Condition:
This gold filled locket is in nice vintage condition with wear commensurate with age - early 1930s - some light wear here or there. See photos for detail. More noticeable on the back where it is plain with no design. Locket opens and closes securely. Chain is new and in great condition.
Markings:
The locket is 1/20 - 12K on the back, CQ&R on the inside frame.
Chain is marked 1/20 14K on the spring ring clasp.

Care instructions
While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.

The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
Do you accept returns on items that have been altered?
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
What is your policy for multiple returns in a short period of time?
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
Can I purchase an item for a prop for photos, and then get a return/refund for it?
We offer customers vintage items from the past to be worn and enjoyed themselves. We cannot accept a new order when a prior item(s) has been used as a prop(s) and then returned for a refund. It will be cancelled and refunded.
