Description:
Beautiful round vintage gold filled locket featuring an etched design on the front. There is a diamond shaped cartouche in the center with ornate fronds, swirls and designs all around it. The fob locket hangs on a new 14K gold filled rope chain. The back is plain with no design. The locket was made by the Carter, Qvarnstrom and Remington Company and is circa the Edwardian Era - early 1900s.
We call this a "Timeworn Treasure" as it shows wear and from its former life. There is some scratching on the front and some wear to the back and inner wells from yesteryear. It still is a charmer, and has enjoyment to offer its new owner.
NOTE: The locket is marked C & QR in one well frame which is the hallmark for Carter, Qvarnstrom & Remington, a jewelry company in business in Attleboro, Massachusetts from 1899-1930. At that time, Attleboro was referred to as "The Jewelry Capital of the World".
This locket is a form locket - one side fits snugly into the other side. This antique locket was most likely a fob on a pocket watch chain.
The spring clasp on the new 14K gold filled rope chain opens and closes securely.
The locket is circa the early 1900s. It is fair to nice antique condition with some scratching and impressions on the back. See photos for details.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
