Description:
A vintage heart shaped gold filled locket featuring a raised etched floral and leaf design that is two tone on the front. The outer portion is a very subtle rose gold while the inner heart shape is a yellow gold tone. On the outer section, there are raised flowers. The inner section has an etched design. The back is engraved with the monogram ELC.
The locket has a Cheever & Tweedy Company hallmark on one inner frame.
NOTE: Mark of "CT" is on the inside frame of locket for the Cheever, Tweedy & Company of North Attleboro, Massachusetts. (Successors to J.G. Cheever & Company. One of their 1977 advertising pieces states "Distributor for almost 100 years".) J.G. Cheever was in business circa 1880 and succeeded by Cheever, Tweedy & Company circa 1915.
The interior of the locket has spaces for two heart shaped photos. The paper backings, frames, and plastic covers are still intact. Locket closes securely.
The locket hangs from a new 18'' 14K gold filled rope chain. The spring ring clasp on the gold filled chain closes securely. Locket can be purchased with or without the chain.

Condition:

Chain is marked 1/20 14K GF on the spring ring clasp.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
