Description:
Lovely antique Art Nouveau gold filled round photo locket on a new gold filled chain with a religious theme. Beautiful and ornate, this locket was from the early to mid 1900s. The locket front features a paste studded cross. The cross is set with 16 paste stones. They vary in size as they are graduated from small to a bit larger art the ends, and some have darkened with age - see photos.
NOTE: Inside this antique locket is one photo frame that is marked with the makers mark W&H CO which stand for the Whitman and Hough Company.
NOTE: "Paste" stones are a type of cut glass. Paste stones were mainly produced to imitate the look of diamonds. The most commonly used material for paste was lead glass.
The back features a beautiful stylized letter M that fills most of the whole back side.
The locket hangs from a vintage 20" long new 14K gold filled rope chain. The spring ring clasp closes securely as does the locket itself.
The antique locket has one of the inner metal photo frames and plastic cover intact. The other well is empty.

Condition:
In nice vintage/antique condition with age appropriate wear on both sides and on the paste stones as would be expected an item that is from the early to mid 1900s - see photos for detail. NOTE: Some of the paste stones have darkened with age - see photos for details. The gold filled chain is also in good vintage condition as it is new.

The locket is hallmarked W&H CO within a heart.
The chain is marked 1/20 14K GF on the spring ring clasp.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
