Description:
Beautiful heart shaped vintage 10K yellow gold locket featuring an etched front with two small overlapping hearts and some leafy shapes at the side. The edges are raised on the front and complement the ornate etched design in the center. The back of the locket is plain except for the hallmark and 10 KT and maker's markings. NOTE: The locket is 10K gold and the bale and chain are 14K gold filled.
There are 2 compartments for photos inside this Circa 1950s gold filled Carl Art Co. locket. One frame is intact while the other well is empty.
The Carl Art Jewelry Co. out of Providence, Rhode Island was in business from 1936 to approximately 1976.
The vintage locket hangs from an 18" new 14K gold filled rope chain. The spring ring clasp opens and closes securely.
The locket is circa mid century.

Condition:
Gold filled locket necklace is in nice vintage condition slight wear commensurate with vintage age. Some scratching on the back of the locket and tarnishing on the inside. See photos for details.
The chain is new and in good condition.
Markings:
Locket - The back has the hallmark for the Carl Art Co. which is the letters C and A with an arrow through them. Above the Carl Art hallmark it is marked 10KT.
Chain is marked 1/20 14K GF.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
