Description:
Amazing antique gold filled pocket watch chain and locket fob. This antique fob and watch chain are classic pieces of late 1800s/early 1900s jewelry and features a detailed etched design on the locket front and a different etched design on the back.
The chain consists a 12" long sturdy curb chain that attaches to a bar and the locket pieces. The dog chain is hallmarked W&SB with a star. There are no markings on the locket.
The round locket that hangs has etched designs - different on each side. Inside are two wells that can each hold a round photo. Both sides have the frames intact and an original photo of young man - very old, looks like late 1800s.
NOTE:
- This locket and chain, which are circa late 1800 or early 1900s, is hallmarked for the W. & S. Blackinton Co. of Meriden, CT that was in business beginning in the late 19th century.
- Fobs and pocket watches were most popular from the late 1700s through the mid-20th century, especially during the Victorian and Edwardian eras. Fob watches, a type of pocket watch with a chain attached, were initially worn by both men and women but became more associated with men by the 19th century.
This piece is circa late 1800s/early 1900s. Based on the photo in the locket, it appears to be 1880s or 1890s.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
