Description:
100+ year old gold filled locket! Lovely antique Edwardian gold filled round photo locket on a vintage gold filled chain. Larger sized locket. The locket is hallmarked for the W&SB Company.
The front of this vintage locket has an engraved old English style letter - I believe it is a "C" but is similar to the letter "T" as well. The back of the locket is plain with no design.
Inside the locket there are two places for photos and both have the original frames intact.
NOTES:
This locket, which is circa late 1800 or early 1900s, is hallmarked for the W. & S. Blackinton Co. of Meriden, CT that was in business beginning in the late 19th century.
This antique round locket hangs from a long, vintage 24" inch 12K gold filled curb chain by Speidel. Speidel Corporation operated beginning in the 1930s out of Providence, RI. The locket can be purchased with or without the chain.

Condition:
In fair to nice antique condition with wear as would be expected an antique item that is circa late 1800s to early 1900s - see photos for detail. More wear/scratching on the back - lots of very small indentations on the bottom, back of the locket - see photos and video for details. Some light wear, use marks on the front. Chain is in nice vintage condition, clasp works well. The is gorgeous locket has a history - more than 100 years old.
Markings:
The locket is hallmarked inside on the frame W&SB with a star.
The chain is marked 12K GF SPEIDEL on the spring ring clasp.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
