Description:
Lovely uniquely shaped 10K gold filled photo locket that is circa early to mid 1900s. While at first blush, the locket look like it is in a Marquis shape, there are some ornate edges at the top and the bottom and sides that give this locket a more rectangular shape than it first appears. The very top and the very bottom of the locket come to a rounded point and have repousse designs on them.
The back is plain in the center but has the raised designs on the 4 outer edges just like the front.
Inside the locket are two compartments for photos. In one of these compartments is the hallmark stamp.
The locket closes securely with a snap.
The bale is fanned and has a few vertical V shaped etched lines on the front. The vintage photo locket hangs from a new 14K gold filled rope link chain that is 18” in length. The spring ring closure opens and closes securely.

Locket - 1 1/4" (1 1/2” high including the bale and loop) and is 3/4" wide

Condition:
The locket is nice vintage condition with some wear / scratching as would be expected an item that is circa 1930s or earlier - see photos for detail. More scratching on the back as there is no design. The Rolo chain is in very nice condition as it is new.
Markings:
1-20 10K GF and an indiscernible maker's mark are in one of the inner wells
The 18” long gold filled chain is stamped 1/20 14K on the spring ring closure

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
