Oval shaped 14K Gold filled religions medal of St. Christopher. The front border shows the words "SAINT CHRISTOPHER PROTECT US" with five stars along the bottom. The center depicts St. Christopher carrying the child, Jesus, across a river. Saint Christopher is the patron saint of travelers - see more below.

Saint Christopher is known as the patron saint of travelers, a title earned from the legend of him carrying the Christ Child across a river. In this widely depicted story, the child's weight grew immense, and he revealed he was carrying the weight of the world. He is invoked for protection against sudden death, storms, and other travel-related perils.
We have attached this medal to a vintage 12K GF chain. Medal can be purchased with or without the chain.

Chain is marked 1/20 12K GF CT (CT for Cheever and Tweedy) on the clasp

- The Marathon Jewelry Company manufactured jewelry from their Attleboro, MA plant beginning in 1897 to the present.
- Mark of "CT" is usually on the inside of locket for the Cheever, Tweedy & Company of North Attleboro, Massachusetts. (Successors to J.G. Cheever & Company. One of their 1977 advertising pieces states "Distributor for almost 100 years".) J.G. Cheever was in business circa 1880 and succeeded by Cheever, Tweedy & Company circa 1915.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
