Description:
A very sweet antique round gold filled locket necklace with an etched floral design and “paste" stones. The front of this round antique hallmarked locket has an etched floral design and the back is plain.
There are two photo wells inside that each hold a frame (and one has the original plastic cover). One well has the hallmark inside it.
The Art Nouveau Era locket is early 1900s in age.
The antique locket is attached to a new, 22'' long 14K gold filled curb chain.
NOTES:
- The hallmark inside under the photo that says RBM stands for the R.B. MacDonald Company, which opened in 1874. The Bee hallmark with the Atrice is for the “Little Beatrice” line of lockets which they started to produce around 1903.
- "Paste" stones are a type of cut glass that was produced to imitate the look of expensive gems. The most commonly used material for paste was lead glass.

Locket: Approximately 1 1/8” diameter (not including the large bail ring. With the bale loop it is 1 1/4" long)

Condition:
This gold filled locket is in nice antique condition with wear commensurate with age - early 1900s - some light wear here or there. See photos for detail. Locket opens and closes securely. Chain is new and in great condition.
Markings:
The locket is marked RBM 1874 with a pictorial bee and Atrice on the inner well under the photo.
Chain is marked 1/20 14K GF on the spring ring clasp.

We do offer gift wrapping for a special occasion or for holidays. Just let us know what occasion your gift is for and if you have a special message you would like us to include.
While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
