Description:
A huge unique vintage gold filled round locket with two photo compartments inside that was made by the Wightman and Hough Company. The Art Nouveau Era locket hangs on a 24" long gold tone metal chain that has two strands. This long chain, most likely made of jeweler's brass, has a spring ring clasp.

The very large eye-catching locket features a paste (along with 2 marcasite stones) studded etched design on the front with a dark and light paste (glass) gems set in the design to accentuate it. The three top gems are blue and the the three bottom stones are white. The paste gems are graduated in size as they go down the vertical columns, and there is some variation in color. Upon close inspection, it appears that two of the center gems at the bottom are marcasite while the rest are dark colored glass, most likely replacements from the originals. There are a total of 44 stones altogether. The locket front has a matte finish.

This very large locket hangs on a Matinee length gold tone double strand flat oval link chain. While the chain is long enough to go over the head, it does have a spring ring clasp that is used to double the chain. The actual total length of the chain when not doubled is about 50".

The back of this locket is monogrammed in an old cursive font with the initials HSB. The back has a matte finish.

The inside of the antique locket contains the two photo wells. Both wells have the metal frames and covers. The antique piece hangs on very long gold tone double chain with a spring ring clasp.

This large, beautiful and intricate locket necklace that is from the early 1900s.

The fanned bale is large as well and could accommodate a thick chain.

The locket closes securely. The spring ring clasp on the vintage 24" long double strand tone metal chain also closes securely.

The locket can be purchased with our without the long chain.
