Description:
Lovely gold filled square fob locket that hangs on a corner making it have a diamond shape when worn. The front has an ornate etched swirl design with a central shield shaped cartouche. Inside the cartouches is the monogram with the letters "EAM” in an old cursive font. The back is plain with no design but is framed with a border of fine lines. Both the front and the back have a shiny finish.
Inside the locket are two compartments for photos, both with the frames and the covers still intact. The hinge is on the left side and the locket opens from the right side. It closes securely - in fact, it is not easy to open.
NOTE: The locket is marked C & QR in one well frame which is the hallmark for Carter, Qvarnstrom & Remington, a jewelry company in business in Attleboro, Massachusetts from 1899-1930. At that time, Attleboro was referred to as "The Jewelry Capital of the World".
The antique photo locket hangs from a new 14K gold curb chain that is 20" in length. The spring ring closure opens and closes securely.

Condition:
In nice antique condition with wear commensurate with antique age (early 1900s). There is more patina inside the locket. See photos for details. The new curb chain is in good condition. Clasp works securely.
Markings:
Locket is marked with the CQ&R stamp inside a triangle.
The gold filled chain is stamped 1/20 14K GF on a link near the spring ring clasp.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
