Description:
Lovely antique round gold filled photo locket on a new 18" gold filled curb chain. The locket was made in the early 1900s by the Carter, Qvarnstrom & Remington Company.
The locket front has an engraved initials “FES” or “TES" (it is hard to determine which) and the back is plain with no design. The hinge is on the bottom and it opens from the top. The locket, a "Timeworn Treasure", is circa early 1900s (Edwardian Era).
This sweet round locket is marked for the CQ&R Company on one of the inner frames of this locket pendant. There are two frames inside this locket.
We call this a "Timeworn Treasure" as it shows wear and from its former life. It still is a charmer and has more enjoyment to offer its new owner.
NOTE: The locket is marked C & QR in one well frame which is the hallmark for Carter, Qvarnstrom & Remington, a jewelry company in business in Attleboro, Massachusetts from 1899-1930. At that time, Attleboro was referred to as "The Jewelry Capital of the World".
The locket can fit two round photos inside, one on each side.
This antique round locket hangs from a new 18” long 14K gold filled curb chain. The spring ring clasp on the chain closes securely.

Condition:
The locket is in fair to nice antique condition with wear on both sides as would be expected an antique item that is circa early 1900s. There is small impression on the bottom center under the monogram. See photos for details. Item's price reflects condition.
Markings:
The locket is hallmarked CQ&R with a triangle shape on the inner well.
The chain is marked 1/20 14K GF on the spring ring clasp.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
