Description:
Beautiful round vintage gold filled locket necklace with a repousse front design that is accented with a small diamond in the center. The diamond in the center is round faceted and is approximately .02mm in size. The center section where the stone is set is domed with the raised repousse edges seem to swirl around it. The back has a monogram with the letters CLG in an old cursive font.
Of special note, this locket is lightweight compared to other lockets from this time period. It has a delicate feel as it is so lightweight.
The locket hangs on a new 14K gold filled fine curb chain is 18" long and has a spring ring clasp that is hallmarked. The locket can be purchased with or without the chain.
There are 2 compartments for photos inside this locket. One has a wonderful period photo of a pretty woman in a wide brimmed hat. The other is empty and gives the diamond light from behind the empty frame. The well with the photo has a scratch on it that is under the photo.
The new 14K gold filled curb chain has a spring ring clasp opens and closes securely. The locket is circa early 1900s.

Condition:
Overall, the gold filled locket necklace is in fair to nice antique condition with wear commensurate with age. The front of the locket is in nice condition. Under the photo of the woman in the back side well there is a scratch. The of the locket back has some denting and has an uneven surface. There is more wear on the back side of the locket than the front side. Item's price reflects conditions noted. The chain is in good condition as it is new.
Markings:
Inside the locket is marked 1-20 12K GF along with a triangle maker’s mark.
Chain is marked 1/20 14K GF on the spring ring clasp.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
