The 17 clear paste (glass) stones are set in the side with the horseshoe. The clear glass gems are all set inside the horseshoe shape and are slightly graduated in size. The smallest are at each end and the faux gems get bigger as they reach the top arch of the horseshoe.

The other side of this lucky-themed locket is has the cursive monogram of the initials "AMG". The locket closes securely with a snap. The spring ring clasp on the new 14K gold filled curb chain also closes securely. The locket can be purchases with or without the new 14K gold filled chain.

There are two photo wells inside. Both wells are empty. One well has the Bliss Brother's maker's mark inside it.

This antique locket is early 1900s in age.

The 14K gold filled chain is new and is hallmarked on the spring ring clasp.

NOTE: Bliss Brothers Company was founded by Charles Edwin Bliss, Everett Bradford Bliss, and R.L.F. Everett. According to an 1883 history of the county, Bliss Brothers & Everett “made a general variety of ladies’ and gents’ gold-plated goods.” The company became Bliss Brothers Co. sometime after 1887. Compacts, pill boxes, and other small items, including gold-filled and sterling jewelry, were made.

"Paste" stones are a type of cut glass that was produced to imitate the look of expensive gems. The most commonly used material for paste was lead glass.
