Description:
Lovely small sized Art Nouveau 10K gold filled locket on a new 14K gold filled curb chain. The locket was made by the Carter, Qvsrnstrom and Remington Company. This antique locket is a classic piece of early 20th century Art Nouveau jewelry and features a woman’s bust on the locket front. There are 5 foilback rhinestones around her head.
Inside the locket are two small round photo wells. In one well is the original frame and clear celluloid. The other well is empty.
On the back, the locket is engraved with the monogrammed initials “AEF” in an old cursive font.
This antique locket is hallmarked C Q&R inside a triangle which stands for the the CARTER, QVARNSTROM & REMINGTON Jewelry Company. The company was located in Attleboro, MA and was business from about 1899 to the 1930s.
The locket opens and closes securely.
The 14K gold filled curb chain is new.
This etched gold filled locket is circa early 1900s.

Condition:
In nice antique condition. Some light use marks/wear commensurate with antique age. More wear and small impression on the back than the front - see photos for details. The chain is in good condition as it is new.

Chain clasp is hallmarked 1/20 14K GF.

Care instructions
While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.

The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
Do you accept returns on items that have been altered?
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
What is your policy for multiple returns in a short period of time?
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
