Description:
Beautiful double sided glass 9K rose gold locket on a 14K rose gold filled chain. The top part of the bale on this Edwardian timeframe oval shaped photo locket unscrews from the frame section to open and close rather than most lockets that have hinges on the side. The ornate top piece unscrews and to have both sides of the frame open for photos to be put into the locket between the two beveled glass windows. There is a photo of a young woman in a wide brimmed hat and a photo of a man inside. The two oval glass windows are beveled. The top piece screws on securely and stays in place when worn.
NOTE:
The English hallmark is for 9ct gold from the Assay office in Chester dated 1919. The maker of this piece was the jeweler George Frank Bickerton.
This locket was meant to display two photos inside as it has glass on both sides.
The 14K rose gold filled chain is new and has a spring ring clasp. The clasp opens and closes securely.
Measurements:
Locket photo section has a 1" length and is 1 1/2" long with the bale. It is 7/8" wide.
Chain is 20" long.

Markings:
The locket is marked on the side of one frame with English hallmark stamps for 9ct gold and dating it to 1919 with the maker’s initials of GFB from Chester, England.
The chain is marked 1/20 14K GF on the spring ring clasp
Condition:
In nice antique condition with wear commensurate with an item from 1919. Upon close inspection, some wear to the sides of the bale and some chipping on the beveled edges of the glass sides - see photos for details. Still a beautiful and unusual locket from 1919.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
