Description:
A vintage 12K Gold Filled shield shaped locket hallmarked for the WE HAYWARD Company. Beautiful pink gold flowers and swirls with green gold accents etched on the front. The back of the locket has a pinstripe pattern, typical of Hayward lockets. The locket is circa 1930s.
There are two frames, paper backings and plastic covers still intact. Note the frames are slightly bent from wear - see photos. Under one of the frames is the Hayward Company hallmark - it says 1/20-12K GOLD FILLED HAYWARD. The Walter E. Hayward Company operated out of Attleboro, MA from approximately 1922 to 1950.
The locket hangs from a vintage 12K gold filled chain that is 18'' in length. The chain secures with a spring ring clasp.

Measures 3/4" long (not including bale loop) and is approx. 5/8" wide at widest section.

Condition:
In nice vintage condition with wear as would be expected a vintage item that is circa 1930s/1940s (early mid century). Some marks on the back left side of the locket and some tarnishing to the inside. Some bending, etc. to the inside photo frames. See photos for details. Locket opens and closes securely. Clasp on the vintage chain works well. Looks ever so lovely and ready for your photos!

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
