Description:
Lovely antique gold filled round photo locket on a new 14K gold filled chain. The locket front features an etched starburst shape that is set with a clear round diamond gemstone in the very center of the circular pendant. The small diamond chip that is bead set in the center of an etched starburst is approximately .03mm in size. The back of this vintage locket has what appears to be the monogram "MNS" in an old and very swirling cursive font. The locket closes securely. The locket is circa early 1900s in age.
Inside the locket there are two round wells for photos. The compartments have the frames and plastic covers still intact.
*Gold shell is a somewhat uncommon marking for jewelry, but was used in the past to indicate the fraction denominating the portion of the piece (by weight) that is gold. For example 1/4 Gold Shell as noted on this locket means that 1/4 or 25% of the locket is 10K gold by weight.
This antique round locket hangs from a vintage, new 20" long 14K gold filled curb chain. The bale is a plain oval loop. The locket, that has its hinge on the side, opens and closes securely. The spring ring clasp on the new curb link chain also closes securely.

Condition:
In nice antique condition with light wear commensurate with an antique item that is circa early 1900s. Has some small impressions and light scratching on both sides consistent with age of this Edwardian Era piece - see photos for detail.

The chain is marked 1/20 14K GF on the spring ring clasp

Care instructions
While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.

Do you accept returns on items that have been altered?
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
What is your policy for multiple returns in a short period of time?
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
