Description:
An adorable heart shaped 10K gold locket necklace featuring an etched floral front on a 14" long 10K gold chain. This tiny locket is hallmarked for the L.S. Company. (See NOTE below about this company). The etched flower designs are on each of the two lobes of the heart at the top of this locket.
The way this little locket opens is unique - by using a very small notch at the bottom pointed end of the pendant. This locket opens top to bottom. The little closeire is at the very end of this heart shape - very different as most locket clasps are on the inside and are out of sight. The very tiny fold over closure can be seen upon close inspection.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a very petite locket - probably one of the smallest we have ever had in our shop. The chain is short. This locket necklace is meant for a child.
The interior of the heart shaped locket has small wells with room for 2 very tiny photos.
NOTE: This hallmark stands for the Louis Stern Company of Providence, RI. The company was in business from 1871 until approximately 1950.
The back of the locket is plain with no design and has a satin finish.
The locket hangs from a very fine 10K gold cable link chain. The locket’s bale is an unusual one - it is hinged. The locket opens from top to bottom using the hinged bale. There is a very, very little fold over closure tab at the very end of the heart at the bottom point. The fold over clasp on the gold chain closes securely.

Chain - 14" long
Pendant: 10mm across the heart. It hangs 11mm long. This is a very, very tiny locket on a short chain meant for a young child.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
