Description:
Lovely antique low karat gold plated heart shaped locket on a new 14K gold filled chain. The locket has two etched and repousse sides: one with flowers and the other with a central banner shape surrounded by florals and leaves. This low karat (6 or 7 karat) gold plated form locket is very delicate and lightweight. All around the outer edges of both sides are etched diagonal lines. This is a very lightweight locket that hangs on a fine and delicate 14K gold filled cable chain.
There are heart shaped compartments for 2 photos inside this locket: one on each side. They are lined with pink paper foil backings. Under the foil backings, the inner compartments have a rough finish inside.
The hinge for this Victorian Era locket is on the one side and it opens from the opposite side. It is a form locket which means one side fits snugly into the other side. As such, there is no clasp, and as mentioned above, one side simply fits snugly into the other side.
The antique locket hangs on a new 14K gold filled cable link chain. The chain’s spring ring clasp opens and closes securely.
The locket is circa late 1800s to early 1900s.

Condition:
This delicate Victorian era heart shaped locket necklace is in fair to nice antique condition with wear commensurate with age. While the locket has ornate repousse designs all over both sides, there are some uneven areas on the surface on both sides. Price reflects condition. See photos for detail.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
