Description:
Lovely vintage sterling silver heart locket circa 1940s. This heart shaped locket has an etched flower design on the front - blooms on the top and bottom with etched stems and leaves down each side. The top center has an engraved heart. Inside the heart is a very light etching - looks to be a capital "O" but is very light and not noticeable upon first inspection. The back of the locket is plain with no design but has the light etching "2-18-45".
The locket has the hinge on the right and opens from the left. Opens at a 90 degree angle (not 180). Room for two heart shaped photos inside. Original frames are intact.
The heart photo locket hangs from a new sterling silver fine link chain that is 18” in length. The spring ring closure opens and closes securely.
Measurements:
Locket - 13/16'' long without the bale. The locket is 11/16" (almost 3/4'') wide.

Condition:
This locket is in nice vintage condition with light wear as would be expected an item that is circa 1940s. See photos for details. Locket opens and shuts securely. Inside has some tarnishing. The chain is new and is in great condition.
Markings:
Locket is unmarked but has the same style, size and inner frames as other by Le Stage Mfg. Co (who have been marked on the bail).
Spring ring on chain is marked 925
Le Stage Mfg. Co. from North Attleboro, MA. They did business circa 1934-1950.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
