Description:
Beautiful and large 10K oval gold filled locket featuring an intricate swirled cross design on the front made by the Winard Jewelry Company - see NOTE below. This vintage locket has placed for two portraits inside - the two oval photo frames and the plastic covers are still intact. The hinge is on the left and this locket opens from the right. The Retro era locket is on a new 20” long 14K gold filled curb chain. Inside the locket the initials TCE are engraved in one of the photo wells, and the back has "To my wife with love on our 12th" inscribed on it.
NOTE: The Winard Jewelry Company was well known for their gold filled jewelry soles in fine jewelry stores in the 1940s and 50s. The Winard Company closed in the late 1950s.
The front of this vintage locket features etched curled cross shapes with feathery edges. There are leaves and other embellishments around the shape. All around the front is an etched single line border. The other side, the back, as noted above, has a message engraved that says, "To my wife with love on our 12th" in a cursive font.
The locket opens and closes securely with a snap. The bale is fanned and has vertical lines on it.
The spring ring clasp on the new gold filled chain opens and closes securely.

Chain: 20" long
Pendant: Approximately 1 1/2" long (not including the large fanned bail) x 1 1/4" wide. With the bale, it is 2" long.

Condition:
This large 10K gold filled locket necklace is in nice vintage condition with wear commensurate with age. The 14K gold filled curb chain is in good condition as it is new.
Markings:
The locket is marked WINARD 10K GF.
The chain is marked 1/20 12K GF on the the spring ring clasp.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
