Description:
An antique eight-sided or octagon shaped locket from the 1920s. This lovely and large locket has a diamond shaped cartouche etched to the left of center. A pinstripe pattern covers the rest of the front. The back is plain with no design and a shiny finish.
Not only is this locket unique due to its age and shape, it also has room for not 2 but 4 photos! There is a "page" when you open the locket to insert more photos. An amazing vintage find.
The locket has room for 4 photos. No photo frames remain. This locket closes securely, not with a snap but instead pushes closed. The antique 8-sided locket opens and closes securely and has a tiny rounded end fold over clasp with an open triangular bale - it reminds one of a purse closure.
The antique locket hangs from a new, heavier 14K gold filled curb chain that is 22" long. The spring ring clasp on the chain opens and closes securely. Locket can be purchased with or without this chain.

Condition:
The locket necklace is in nice vintage condition with patina and wear commensurate with antique age (circa 1920s). Some light use marks on locket front and the back and some patina on the inside. See photos for details. Chain is new and in great condition.

Locket is stamped HFB on the inside frame.
Chain is marked 1/20 14K GF on the clasp
The hallmark inside this locket is for the H.F. Barrows Company of N. Attleboro, MA. The company operated from about 1915 to the 1940s.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
