Description:
A wonderful 1940s sweetheart gold filled expansion bracelet with a shield shaped center piece. This bracelet is hallmarked on the inner band. This 1940s piece of history looks wonderful and has plenty of charm for its age. The heart has the central cartouche with some little curled embellishments on its sides, as well as vertical pinstripes on the remainder of the front. The back of the heart shape is plain. The expansion bracelet was invented circa the 1890s (expanding bracelet) and then updated in the 1930s. The particular model was named the American Queen.
NOTE:
The 1940s era expansion locket bracelet is marked inside with the hallmark for the Pittman Keeler Company.
Expansion bracelets like this one were given to a sweetheart in the early to mid 1900s.
The band on this vintage bracelet has alternating plain and patterned designs on the expansion or expandable “S” links. The patterned links feature a series of slightly raised circles inside swirls on them.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
