Description:
A wonderful 1940s sweetheart gold filled expansion bracelet with a heart shaped center piece. This bracelet is hallmarked on the inner band. This 1940s piece of history looks wonderful and has plenty of charm for its age. The heart shaped center piece is surrounded by leaves and coils.
NOTE:
The 1940s era expansion locket bracelet is marked inside with the hallmark for the DFB Company. This hallmark is for the D. F. Briggs Company of Attleboro, MA when that area was known as the "Jewelry Capital of the World". The D. F. Briggs Company was in business from about 1896 to 1943.
Expansion bracelets like this one were given to a sweetheart in the early to mid 1900s.
The band on this vintage bracelet has alternating plain and patterned designs on the expansion or expandable “S” links.
Approximate Measurements:
The bracelet expands to fit up to an approximate 6 1/2"-7'' wrist. The widest portion of the design (the front) is 3/4'' wide. Links are 1/2'' wide.

Condition:
The bracelet is in fair to nice vintage condition with wear and patina commensurate with vintage age - this retro jewelry piece is about 80 years old. (Circa 1940s timeframe.) There are some light use marks/scratches (see the front of the heart) and some wear to the gold fill on some of the front design and links. One of leaves on the front is no longer attached to the front plate (only noticeable upon detailed inspection). See photos for details.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
