Description:
A vintage 12K Gold Filled heart shaped locket hallmarked for the WE HAYWARD Company that hangs from a 12K gold filled chain by Speidel. The front of this locket features a small oval with etched pinstripe designs around it. The edges have raised swirling leave designs. The hinge for this retro locket is on the left side, and it opens from the right side. It is circa 1930s.
There are two frames still intact. Under one of the frames is the Hayward Company hallmark - it says HAYWARD 1/20-12K GOLDFILLED. The Walter E. Hayward Company operated out of Attleboro, MA from approximately 1922 to 1950.
The locket hangs from a vintage 12K gold filled chain with a spring ring clasp. The clasp opens and closes securely.
Measurements:
Measures 7/8" long (not including bale loop) and is approx. 3/4" wide at widest section at the top of the heart.

Condition:
In nice vintage condition with wear as would be expected a vintage item that is circa 1930s/1940s (early mid century). Some marks on the back left side of the locket and some tarnishing to the inside. See photos for details. Locket opens and closes securely. Clasp on the vintage chain works well. Looks ever so lovely and ready for your photos!
Speidel Corporation operated beginning in the 1930s out of Providence, RI.
The Walter E. Hayward Company operated out of Attleboro, MA from approximately 1922 to 1950.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
