Description:
Antique gold filled round locket fob necklace that features a locket pendant with a total of 5 paste cabochon gems. Three across the center are green in color. In the center on the top and bottom there are pink cabochon gems. They are part of an etched square/starburst pattern. The hinge is at the bottom of the fob locket and it opens from the top.
NOTE:
What is paste? Paste means stones made of various kinds of cut glass. Lead glass was most commonly used in the past to imitate diamonds in the 18th and 19th centuries, but paste stones were later colored by adding various metallic oxides. In more recent times, the makers of paste stones can imitate the color of almost any precious gemstone.
The back of the locket is plain with no design. Inside the locket there are wells for two small photos that are currently empty. One of the sides has the original paper backing, plastic cover and frame. The locket opens and closes as intended.
The antique locket is attached to a new 20'' 14K GF curb chain. It has a spring ring clasp that opens as intended and closes securely.

Condition:
In nice antique condition with wear commensurate with antique / vintage age (approx. 100+ years old). The back of the locket pendant has some light use marks. The front of the locket has some light scratches, most noticeable on bottom/left - see photos for detail. Wear is commensurate with antique age as this locket fob locket that is circa early 1900s.
Marked:
Chain: 1/20 14K GF on the spring ring clasp.
Locket: Unmarked, tested as gold filled using a Niton DXL Precious Metal Analyzer.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
