A classic round antique gold filled locket featuring a monogrammed front with the initials "GRL” in an old cursive script on a 14K gold filled Rolo chain. The back side of this circa early 1900s locket is plain with no decoration and has a shiny finish. The locket was made by the W.&S. Blackington Company - see note below about this company.
This type of monogrammed item was very popular during the Edwardian era, like the last listing photo of my Great Aunt and Grandmother circa 1905. This locket is hallmarked W&SB on the one inner frame. The locket closes securely.
NOTE:
This locket, which is circa late 1800 or early 1900s, is hallmarked for the W. & S. Blackinton Co. of Meriden, CT that was in business beginning in the late 19th century.
There are two photo compartments inside this antique locket. One has the frame still intact.
The bale is a plain round loop. The locket has its hinge on the bottom and it opens from the top. It closes securely.
The vintage locket hangs on a new 18” long Rolo chain that is marked 14K gold filled at the clasp.

Care instructions
While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.

The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
Do you accept returns on items that have been altered?
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
What is your policy for multiple returns in a short period of time?
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
