Beautiful and patriotic vintage 10K gold filled heart locket with a design featuring the Great Seal of the United States of America on the front. The Great Seal is tapped into the locket front in a series of tiny impressions. It is surrounded by an etched zig zagged circle that goes all around the eagle and the shield in the great seal design. This vintage locket necklace hangs on a new 14K gold filled curb chain. The locket closes securely with a snap.
The locket is hallmarked for the Dunn Bros. Company that was established by Walter A. Dunn DBA as Dunn Brothers, in Providence, RI circa the 1920s until 1971.

The great seal of the USA has the elements of and eagle and a shield that represent symbols of the United States.
Eagle: In the center of the seal is a bald eagle (our national bird). The eagle holds a scroll in its beak inscribed with our original national motto: "E Pluribus Unum," which is Latin for "one from many" or "one from many parts" (one nation created from 13 colonies). The eagle grasps an olive branch in its right talon and a bundle of thirteen arrows in its left. The olive branch and arrows are symbols for the power of peace and war.
Shield: A shield with thirteen red and white stripes covers the eagle's breast. The shield is supported solely by the American eagle as a symbol that Americans rely on their own virtue.**
The inside of this vintage heart shaped locket has both frames still intact. The wells are both empty and ready to hold two of your photographs.
The back of the locket is plain with a shiny finish.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
