Description:
A beautiful, round and shiny antique locket. This gold filled locket features a monogrammed front with the initials "MCG" or "MIG" (it's open to interpretation) in an old, swirling cursive script. The back side of this circa early 1900s locket is plain with no decoration and has a hiny finish.
The locket opens from the top and has a hinge on the bottom. This type of monogrammed item was very popular during the Edwardian era.
There are two photo compartments inside this antique locket. Both wells have the frame and the original plastic covers and paper backings still intact. The bale is a plain loop. The locket closes securely.
The vintage locket hangs on a vintage 20” long 14k GF cable chain that is vintage. The chain is marked as 14K gold filled. The chain has a spring ring clasp.

Condition:
In nice antique condition with wear commensurate with vintage age which is circa early 1900s. The chain is in nice vintage condition as well - see photo closeups for detail. The clasp on the chain closes securely.

Locket is unmarked but tested as gold filled.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
