Description:
Lovely antique gold filled oval photo locket on a new 14K gold filled curb chain. The front features an etched flower prong set with paste gems with leaves set with seed pearls. The single faceted red (glass) paste stone in the center of the flower with five clear paste gems all around it in the petals. Three seed pearls are set inside the etched leaves in the flower’s stem. There are a total of 6 seed pearls and 6 paste gems set in the locket front. The bale on this locket is a plain oval loop where the chain is attached.
NOTE: "Paste" stones are a type of cut glass. Paste stones were mainly produced to imitate the look of diamonds. The most commonly used material for paste was lead glass.
Inside the locket are 2 oval photo wells. One side has a tiny dried flower arrangement on a paper backing in place. The plastic cover and frame hold the dried flower in place. The other side has an old black and white photo of a very handsome dark haired man that is circa early 1900s. This photo is under a frame and a plastic as well.
The back of the locket is plain with no design. The top front lobe of the locket shows more wear and has some spots worn to the base metal - see photo closeup.
This vintage heart locket hangs from a new 20” long 14K gold filled curb chain. The locket has its hinge on the left and opens from the right. The spring ring clasp on the chain closes securely as does the locket itself.
Approximate Measurements:
Locket - 1 1/4" long x 1 1/4" wide. With the bale, it is 1 1/2" long.

Condition:
In fair to nice antique condition with wear on both sides as would be expected an antique item that is circa early to mid 1900s. More wear on the top left front side of this locket as noted above where the gold fill has worn to the base metal - see photos for detail.
Markings:
Locket frames are stamped with the letters C and B with a pictorial hallmark in between them
The gold filled chain is stamped 1/20 14K GF on the spring ring clasp

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
