Description:
Beautiful antique gold filled round locket necklace in a with an ornate paste and etched design on the top and a monogram on the back with the letters EEN in an old cursive font. The front has a total of 29 round faceted paste gems on the front with 28 clear colored stones set around the central turquoise / aqua blue paste stone. The central paste gem is set inside a starburst shape. The others are in set in an etched rounded square design that flows around this center starburst. The back has the monogram with takes up most of the space on the locket back.
NOTE: "Paste" stones are a type of cut glass. Paste stones were mainly produced to imitate the look of diamonds. The most commonly used material for paste was lead glass.
The interior of the locket has two round photo wells that each hold a photo. Both sides have the frames and plastic covers still intact, and both have old black and white photos in place. One photo is of a mother and a child and the other is a young woman with her hands behind her head with a a big smile on her face.
This unique yet classic large sized gold filled locket has the hinge on the left and it opens from the right. It closes securely.
The locket hangs on a 22" long new 14K gold filled curb chain with a spring ring closure. The clasp opens and closes securely. The bale is a plain round loop.
The locket was made by the S.K. Merill Company and is from the early 1900s. The S.K. Merill Company manufactured jewelry from 1871-1915.
This locket is circa early 1900s.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
