Description:
Beautiful and round antique gold filled locket featuring an etched cursive monogram in the center surrounded by an engine turned design on the front.
The antique locket hangs on a new 14K gold filled rope chain that is 20" long.
This vintage locket has places for two portraits inside - the both frames and one plastic cover is still intact. The locket is hallmarked “DCP” in a diamond shape.
The engraved letters are MFC but appear to be MH upon initial inspection. I believe them to be MFC but it’s open to interpretation.
The other side, the back, is plain with no etching and has a shiny finish. The hinge is on the bottom and this locket opens from the top.
The locket opens and closes securely. The lobster clasp on the gold filled chain opens and closes securely as well.
Measurements:
Chain: 20" long
Pendant: Approximately 1" diameter (not including the bail). With the bale, the locket is 1 1/8" long.

Condition:
This gold filled locket necklace is in nice vintage condition with wear/scratching commensurate with age (approx 100 years old). There is more wear/scratching seen on the back as it is plain with no design. See photos for details. The chain is new and in great condition.
Markings:
The locket is hallmarked DCP inside a diamond shape on the inside. It tested as gold filled with a Niton DXL X-Ray Analyzer.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
