Description:
A gorgeous vintage 10K gold round locket necklace that features a round faceted diamond set in the center on the one side and the engraved monogram with the initials RMA on the other side. This larger sized Edwardian Era locket hangs in a 14K gold filled curb chain with a spring ring clasp that is 22" long. One side (the front) of this locket has a diamond in the center that is approximately 2 1/2mm in diameter. The diamond is set in the middle of a round starburst shape.
The other side of this locket features the monogram with the initials "RMA". The cursive, swirling letters have a detailed and lovely ornate script.
This locket opens from the right and is hinged on the left. The locket opens as intended and closes securely. The bale is a plain oval loop.
The interior of the locket has two large round wells that can hold photos (one on each side). Currently, there are 2 old black and white photos inside: one of a middle aged woman wearing a hat and one of a young man in a suit. These photos are circa early 1900s. The original frames and plastic are intact.
The vintage locket hangs from a new 14K yellow gold filled curb chain that secures with a spring ring clasp.
NOTE:
While the locket is 10K gold, the chain is 14K gold filled. The locket can be purchased with our without the chain. The choice can be made at checkout.

Condition:
The locket is in nice antique condition with some patina and wear / scratching commensurate with age - circa early 1900s. Around the center diamond / etched starburst shape is a slight round depression that can be seen upon close inspection - see photos for detail. Price reflects condition.
Marked:
Locket is marked 10K and has a pictorial hallmark near the diamond on the inner well under the photo.
Chain is marked 14/20 GF on the spring ring clasp.
Diamond has been tested with a Presidium Duo Gem and Diamond Tester, a gemological instrument that tests gemstones using both thermal and reflectivity testing.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
