Description:
A wonderful classic vintage round gold filled locket necklace with an ornately decorated etched front that features a monogram in an old font. The monogram initials appear to contain the letters UEA but it is hard to say as they are all combined into one - very lovely! The back has a shiny finish and is plain with no other design.
The locket is hallmarked W&H inside on one of the wells. This larger sized locket opens from the top and is hinged on the bottom. The locket opens easily and closes securely.
NOTE:
This hallmark is for the Wightman & Hough Co. that was located in Providence, RI and operated from approximately 1896 to 1922.
The interior of the locket has two round compartments that can hold photos (one on each side). One of the round frames are present inside in front of a pink paper backing. The other side is empty. The hinge is on the bottom and the locket opens from the top. The locket closes securely with a snap.
The vintage locket hangs from an 20" long 14K gold filled curb chain that secures with a spring ring clasp.

Condition:
In nice vintage condition with wear commensurate with circa early 1900s in age. More wear on the back as it is plain with no design. The back has a small round impressions on the top right area. See photos for detail.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
