Description:
A wonderful vintage 12K white gold filled oval shaped locket necklace with an ornately decorated front that features two etched flowers that have multi colored stones around them. The center of the flowers are paste stones of round faceted clear paste (glass) gems - see NOTE below about "paste". The etched florals have leaves that grow vertically on either side of the central line in the middle of this locket that is made up of 6 round faceted paste stones of various colors. The colors include clear, pink, blue and green.
The back of the locket is plain with no design and has a shiny finish. The bale is a small fanned shape and is marked sterling.
The locket is 12k white gold filled but the long chain is sterling silver.
NOTE:
What are paste stones? "Paste" stones are a type of cut glass that was produced to imitate the look of expensive gems. The most commonly used material for paste was lead glass.
The locket is hallmarked 1/20 12K GF on the inside. This locket opens from the right and is hinged on the left. The locket opens and closes securely.
The interior of the locket has two compartments that are oval shaped so that it can hold two photos (one on each side). The frames and covers are no longer intact.
The vintage locket hangs from a new 22'' long sterling silver rope chain that secures with a lobster clasp.

In nice vintage condition with wear and patina commensurate with mid century age. The plain back side of this locket shows more wear as it is plain with no design - see photos for detail. Inside of locket has some wear patina as well as shown in photo.
Marked:
Locket is marked 1/20 12K GF inside.
Chain is marked 925 on the lobster clasp.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
