Description:
A vintage Gold Filled round locket hallmarked for the La Mode Company that hangs from a new 14K gold filled fine link chain. The front of this locket features a small rectangular shape with some tiny etched leaves. There is a single line all around the outer portion of the heart to frame the front. The back of this beautiful and romantic locket has a great engine turned swirl design. The bale is fanned. The locket closes securely with a snap.
NOTE:
This gold filled locket is a La Mode piece. La Mode was a trademark used by Ripley and Gowan of Attleboro, Mass. The company’s history dates back to the 1880s. Ripley and Gowan filed for use of “La Mode” as a trademark in 1924. The company used the trademark for both women’s and men’s jewelry.
There are two round wells inside for photos. Currently they have the frames and plastic cover intact.
The locket hangs from a new 14K gold filled twisted link chain with a spring ring clasp. The clasp opens and closes securely.

In nice vintage condition with wear as would be expected a vintage item that is circa early 20th century. The chain is in good condition as it is new.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.

We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
Do you accept returns on items that have been altered?
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
What is your policy for multiple returns in a short period of time?
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
