A large and unique vintage gold filled round locket with two photo compartments inside. The front of the locket has a beautiful raised cross surrounded by flowers. The back of the locket has the monogrammed cursive initials that read "MEF" from left to right.
AMAZING DETAIL - The inside of this locket also has the ORIGINAL photos from around 100 years ago.
The inside of the antique locket contains the two photos with the frames and their original photos still intact! One frame is marked JMF & Co. One black and white photo is of a man in a white dress shirt and black bow tie. The other is of a young woman wearing a choker necklace. The antique piece hangs on a new 22'' 14K GF chain. A beautiful and intricate locket necklace that is from the early 1900s.
The locket, that has its hinge on the bottom, opens easily from top and closes securely. Note that the locket closes securely but the tab closure has been bent. I believe it was bent to make the locket close if it had been not closing securely previously. Locket works as it should but note the tab is bent (see close up photos). Price reflects this.
The lobster clasp on the 22" long gold filled rope chain also closes securely.
NOTE: The JMF Jewelry Company was founded by John M. Fisher and Charles R. Harris in 1879. Originally known as Harris and Fisher, in 1885 the company became the JM Fisher Company, hence the JMF. The company operated until 1949.

In nice antique condition with wear commensurate with antique age - some small dings or marks on the back. See photos for detail. While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
