Lovely Art Nouveau Era gold filled round photo locket on a 12K gold filled chain. The locket front features an etched starburst shape that is set with a clear round diamond stone set in the very center of the circular pendant. The back of this vintage locket has a shiny finish and has a monogram "JG" in swirling cursive letters.
Inside the locket there are two places for photos. Currently they are both empty. Both original frames and photo covers remain.
The W&H hallmark on the inside of this locket stands for the Wightman & Hough Company that was established in 1856 in Providence, Rhode Island. They manufactured gold-filled, rolled gold, and sterling silver jewelry. Each piece was hallmarked with a heart containing the initials “W&H CO”. They were known for lockets, medallions, and seals. They were in business through the Art Deco era. The locket closes securely with a snap.
This antique round locket hangs from a vintage, new old stock18" long 12K gold filled chain. The bale is a plain round loop. The locket, that has its hinge on the bottom, opens from the top and closes securely. The spring ring clasp on the oval link chain also closes securely.
Amazingly beautiful vintage necklace in great vintage condition. An amazing find!!!

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
